Frontier Companion is officially available on the Google Play Store!
Official Google Play release is live and ready to download!
A few weeks ago, we kicked off our testing phase and shared the unofficial APK of Frontier Companion right here on the blog. You downloaded it, tested it, and helped us refine the tools to turn this into the co-pilot every Lightyear Frontier explorer needs.
Today, we are beyond excited to announce that Frontier Companion is officially live on the Google Play Store!
You can now grab the latest, most stable version directly from the store. If you’ve been using the standalone APK from our previous post, we highly recommend making the switch.
Why switch to the Play Store version?
Moving to an official store release makes managing the app significantly easier on your end:
- Seamless updates: No more manually checking the blog or GitHub for new versions. You’ll get the latest data updates, features, and fixes automatically.
- Improved stability: We’ve fixed the bugs you reported during our Phase 1 rollout.
- Security & trust: The app is now officially verified by Google Play Protect for your peace of mind.
What’s new in this release?
Beyond the infrastructure move, we’ve been hard at work expanding the app's database. Based on your feedback, the official release includes:
- Artifact Lore: You can now read lore entries from artifacts directly within the app.
- New NPCs & quests: We’ve added Ulf and Diane, complete with their respective questlines.

Frontier Companion remains 100% free and non-affiliated with Frame Break. We built this simply because we love the game, but it’s your community engagement that kept us energized through the development process. Thank you to everyone who downloaded the early APK and shared your feedback.

What's next?
We are still taking feature requests and tracking feedback. In the coming weeks, we will be polishing the app even more, adding new features, and patiently waiting for game updates from developers to always be up-to-date with game content.
